How Not to Spam My Blog, part 2
Beyond the spam I discuss in How Not to Spam My Blog, I also receive frequent emails that are computer generated and sent using the Contact Dan’l page. So far, they all seem to come from the same source, using a variety of email addresses that I suspect are invented or hijacked. The domains are yahoo, gmail, hotmail, verizon, etc. For this reason, I am eliding these addresses in the emails I show below. They may belong to innocent people.
The source, Occutle, writes well, but the come-ons sound a bit foreign to a native English speaker, due to subtle errors of grammar. A modicum of creativity appears in the variety of phrasings used to appeal to my greed for easy money. Zero judgement is evidenced, since I don’t have anything to sell here, don’t fall for easy money scams, don’t have a Telegram account, and don’t have many visitors to take advantage of. So, it is mostly as entertainment, and to some minor extent as a warning, that I reproduce here a series a actual emails I received in the period from October 17-21, 2022.
